I know nothing of Christopher Ward watches but this;

recently came to my attention, I must say I quite like the look.

Good, bad or indifferent?

I’ve had CW watches for a few years. They’re a good strong English brand with some decent internals. I’m currently sporting their C8 GMT on a nato as my daily.

Consistently (and fairly) mocked for having a perpetual sale a la DFS (always get £100 off the full price of a watch over £500) but they’re good value for money in my book.

I saw this launch in their Loupe magazine I got through the door last week and the styling doesn’t do it for me for this one, but their new one for the Marines looks the nuts.

Not sure I can justify another £800 when the rest of them just spend their days spinning around in my winder box though.

In summary - I’m a big fan

They are a solid bet for a mid-range watch.

That super compressor is an interesting complication, a nice talking point.

I’d have a blue one!

I think Farer do a nicer supercompressor line. Also British / Swiss made. Similar price points.

I’ve a C65 GMT Pepsi that does battle with a lot more expensive watches in my box & more often than not it comes out on top!

I really like it. This one doesn’t do it for me but for the price I think they are great. Good design & good finishing backed up by decent movements.

And their customer service is excellent. Mum bought me a Trident for my 30th and they really did help her through the whole buying process including engraving the case. Love mine.

How much help does one require buying a watch?

It’s a weak pun. Farah make the piss-stain ready beige slacks.

Considering its showcasing a technology that makes a watch more water resistant as it goes deeper (ahem £50 Vostok 200m+). The spec seems a bit disappointing, or is the nature of a super compressor mean the depth rating is limited?

Not that this watch will ever be worn to dive in....

Having said all that it looks very nice and Christopher Ward seem to have very good reputation.

I like these, the good thing is that they had to move the logo to the centre of the face. I bet they look and feel better in the flesh.
Ive got a quartz watch from them, and wear it as a daily, looks far more upmarket than it is.

Really like the look of these. I've got a few CW's, first one from 2008 and they've always offered good vfm albeit in a now crowded market. Wearing my C60 trident pro as I type.

I do wish they knocked the 'offers' on the head, I think it devalues the brand and is un-necessary as their watches are generally great for the money.
