Out of the blue. Usually spot on as you would expect with a quartz.
My reason for not going Automatic.
No trouble for years, had a battery change and pressure test about 3 months ago.
(Renata).
It has the 2264.50 module.
It's 10 years old by the Omega site.
I only wear it at weekends as I'm handling steel etc. With my job.
It was 10 minutes fast, I assumed I had set it wrong the last time I handled it, as I use it to time other watches.
Reset it, but 24 hours later its 10 seconds fast???
Any ideas people before I pack it off?
Thanks

Did the battery change come with a guarantee (assuming it was an Omega dealer)?

Is the seconds hand behaving normally - i.e. not jumping?

It's either the battery or the movement and it would be worth changing the battery again before sending off for a movement repair/replacement.

Yes an Omega Dealer, but not my normal one.
I'll take it back.
Not 2 second jumping no.
I never thought of a warranty with a Battery
change!
Thank you.

Normally, with proper watches and with proper dealers (this means Omega) the battery comes with a 12 month warranty.... hopefully you have your receipt somewhere.

Hopefully it's not the movement as that will be a bit of a pain/expense to swap.

Maybe update this thread if you resolve it? Us watch fans like to know what happens. smile

I've been playing with watches for over 25 years, mainly Seikos.
I spend a fair bit of time on Thewatchforumuk, but to be honest, I've never heard of a battery causing a watch to gain time.
I've had hundreds of watches through my hands, and changed dozens of batteries, this has never happened before.
I'm guessing it's the module, which will be a pain, as swatch are in charge of Omega spares now.
When I've checked my receipt, the battery was done at an Omega Dealer 13 months ago (how time flies)!
So I'll be sending this to Duncan at Genesis.
Fingers crossed.
I will update.
