How long should a watch run for if not worn, and how many winds do you give yours?

My Sea Dweller seems to give up after just a day. Is that normal?

Mine normally run for a couple of days (ish).

Do you know which movement yours has? The older 3135 should last 48 hours when fully wound. The new 3235 should last 70 hours.

Also, I never hand wind mine. Wearing it and doing anything more active than lying on the sofa all day is enough to keep it wound.

Forty to fifty turns should fully wind the watch. It should then easily run for more than a day - even if not worn. Wearing it for most of the day and normal activity should mean it never needs winding. If yours is stopping after a day then I'd suggest it needs servicing.

Pay all that for a watch and you take it off for a day or 2 and you need to reset the time & wind it up. Madness. Rolex need to get with the times & have it battery powered. Imagine if new BMWs needed a starting handle.
