I've hankered after a Speedy for a while, the lack of 100m WR puts me off the obvious Moonwatch, I spend a lot of time in the pool with the sprogs...

The racing is now firmly on my radar, however I change between Black/White vs White/Black daily, cannot make my mind up.

Which would you choose (and why if you so desire..)

Today, it's white with black subdials, it does look slightly more casual, especially with the yellow accents, tomorrow that is likely to change.

I thought these were discontinued a fair while ago? I've got a Blue one which I've been wearing as my everyday watch for the last four years.

Both nice, but the yellow accents make it much more casual IMO, so depends where else you intend to wear it?

Umm, have you thought about a Moonwatch and a WR Casio or something?

Easy choice for me - white sub dial. It's the yellow that puts me off the other option, as has been said above the colour errs towards too casual if it's going to be your only/main watch.

I think I'd be tempted to go for an older Legend edition if I wanted black/white.

I have a red legend on my wrist at the moment, like you I discounted the moonwatch for a number of reasons - water resistance one of the big ones.

hehe Have numerous G Shocks.

The WR Moonwatch issue would mean I would need to remember to take it off even when bathing the sprogs, I know it should be ok but wouldn't want to risk it, I am happy to do it presently even with my GS on which is probably my 'dressiest' and most special watch.

Isn't the Moonwatch rated at 50m?
Are you really worried about a few splashes of water confused

If it is 50m it is 50m static.

There is nothing special about the moonwatch IMO, unless you own one that has actually been on the moon.

Yes, given what 50m rating actually equates to.

I’m biased I suppose but I think the Legend looks great in all the colour ways.

It’s also full size which was a must for me.

The Tokyo 2020 Speedmasters would be my choice:

The Tokyo is lovely, much like the 35th Anniversary. These are proper Speedmasters though, wheras the Racing isn't, not even remotely, despite being in the Speedmaster range (which can also be said for most of the range).
