I'm looking for a new daily wear. What you do need to know is the watch will take some abuse, I run an automotive workshop and there are occasions where i need to "get amongst it!"

So, previous watches include Breitling Seawolf, Omega Seamaster 300m, G-Shock Frogan and currently Apple Watch.

The two I've been leaning towards are the Bremont S501 or the Tudor BB58 .... Or suggestions on a clean, not fussy (ideally with no date) tool watch?

Nothing against Bremont, but there's no way I'd be willing to pay almost a grand more for one over the Tudor!

And if they were both the same price?

I guess it would depend what I was looking for or if I had anything else in my collection..

I think for the price it's hard to beat Tudor for a tool / dive watch around that budget. I have the BB GMT so I may be biased, but I just think they're excellent watches

On the cheaper scale of things, which is probably a good thing for a daily tool watch. Have a look through Muhle Glashutte’s range. I wear a SAR Rescue Timer every day and it’s a very solid watch I doubt I could damage. It does have a date though which you said you’d prefer to be without. Some of their other options may suit you perfectly. They may not be quite what you’re looking for, but no harm in a quick look.

Hi, have you looked at a Tudor Pelagos? great watch. The titanium makes it light and scratch resilient!!
I love mine, and though it isnt worn as much since adding some others to collection since its my go to when manual working or on hols!!

sorry just noted you want no date!!

i have the bronze black bay as well and its great so guess the standard bb would be the same!!

I’d be looking at the cheaper end of the market then; something like a Seiko Prospex ‘Samurai’ for about £300.

It all depends on how beaten up it’s going to get, and how much dings dents and scratches are going to annoy you!

Reminds me of this I saw on TLF the other day

I just cant bring myself to batter my watches on cars etc, but I do like the look of a well worked watch!

For me being a Tudor fan the BB58 black is nice!

That Rolex wear is right up my street!

I am however leaning more towards the Bremont over the BB58.

I agree with this.

I would agree if it's likely to get dinged up then it would be a shame to wreck a BB58 or Bremont (of the two the BB58 gets my vote).. I would be looking at a cheaper Seiko Prospex or something like a CWC diver.
