I have a tag watch which I bought new in 2017 (from tag boutique). In 2019 it stopped working completely so I sent it to their authorised repair centre but as it was just over the 2 year warranty, I had to pay for a full service and repair.

I finally got it back from them in August but it has developed another fault already (the date has not moved forward last 2 days).

I am very reluctant to send back for another repair. I don't know the exact law, but I'm certain there is something that covers me here? A £1500 watch that isn't worn often should last more than 2/3 years, and certainly shouldn't go wrong just 2 months after having a full service and repair.

In short, I would be looking for a replacement or refund as lost faith in it.

Can anyone help with where I stand before I send the watch back to them?

I don't think you have the right to refund or replacement on something that you bought 3 years ago.

But if i remember correctly, the repair/service should have a warranty on it so you should be entitled to send it back for a FOC repair

As GTEYE says, there should be a warranty on the service/repair work. Confirm this with your local AD, send the watch back for repair and once done, either enjoy it or sell it on! I experienced similar with a TAG Heuer watch and the entire process soured watch ownership; it had to go. Strangely, I did buy a few more TAG watches afterwards, but none reside in my current collection. I've done TAG Heuer ... hehe

Ah ok, what's more annoying then it going wrong is their lead times to sort it out! It took 7 months last time but that was partly due to lockdown.

There will be a warranty on the repair and they will prioritise the work so it won’t take so long.

I had to send a Rolex back twice after service, second and third time were much faster than the initial service.
