There was rumours a few years back that Aquastar was coming back... and it has with the Deepstar! One of the greatest watches ever.

How cool are they

I freely confess I know nothing of the history, and would much prefer one of these:

Apologies if this view apears heretical or causes offense

Aquastar, great watches. I still have 2 divers' watches from the 60s (long term in family), one in excellent condition (internal bezel) and one used. They still look good today, albeit smaller than a lot of modern new ones.

Very rarely see Aquastars around.

Heretic tongue out

The aquadive is cool no doubt, I think they are made by the same people as the Aquastar and Doxa etc.
It is just a new watch with an old name biggrin

The Deepstar was the watch Jacques Cousteau wore when they dived on the Marianas Trench. (I think) They are therefore kind of sought after and usually £8-10k if for sale biggrin

Always liked the originals, that 'big eye' was only used on a few watches - Universal had one, Longine and someone else iirc. Classic as an E-Type.

Yeah man they are great, they made genuine tools for diving and were genuine innovators.

I think they were the 1st with 500m WR.

The chronograph on the Deepstar could be used underwater!!! In the 60s!
