Watch is 6 years old. Never had a problem with it, but battery replacement required.

Breitling UK service centre will only do a full maintenance service given its age, rather than just replace the battery and re-seal. In fact they even note in the quotation that the movement is OK.

However, they are quoting £500 (!!!!) for a full maintenance service. Battery replacement and seal is £160 (still expensive for what it is, but just acceptable)

Can someone recommend an alternative independnet service centre who can competently replace the battery in a Breitling and seal it (including a pressure test).

PS I never paid that much to service my Porsche 996.

I've used Watch Lab before abd they have been very good in both of their branches I've used but whether they will change a battery in a Breitling in house I don't know.
They have done strap adjustments and such on my Omega Seamaster and replaced a pin in the past but when I wanted it servicing they sent it back to Omega, although mine is a Chorometer

You want to speak to PH'er Variomatic - Anglesey Watches and Clocks.

He's just done a service on my Breitling Skyracer for less than £200.

Another vote for Variomatic. Cleaned and serviced my Colt Ocean, inc freeing up a sticking bezel that Breitling wanted £500 for, & charged £70 istr.

If calling the number on his website doesnt work, then the best way to get hold of Joe is through the 'message us' option on his FB page.

Thread bump - anyone have a good experience of someone who can perform a Breitling battery replacement either in London (Liverpool St area), Milton Keynes or Oxford?

Want to avoid paying the over-inflated Breitling prices who are demanding a £550 full service. Thanks!

These guys did mine a few years ago. Just off Regent Street.

I think it was £30 including a pressure test. Did it while I had a nose round the shops.
