So we all know the format of £100k garage, so I thought it would be interesting to start the watch edition (I checked but couldn’t see it done recently...please delete if it has!)

However since that there is such a massive spread of price points, let’s set the limit at 7 pieces within that £100k.

Also resale isn’t allowed...saves somebody buying 7x 116500LNs laugh

I like this. I think, having a number of watches and not really wearing them all, that I would limit this to just a few expensive watches. And my choices are pretty pedestrian, I think, and very brand orientated. Others who are greater enthusiasts will come up with more interesting choices.

Breguet 5410 Heritage Chrono in rose gold. I have the non-chrono version in rose gold, love it, but would love the three button watch more. (£34k)

https://www.thewatchsource.co.uk/Breguet/5400br~12...

Rolex Yachtmaster 2, also in rose gold (£25k)

https://www.iconicwatches.co.uk/as-new-rolex-yacht...

Omega Speedmaster Green and Gold moonphase - £11.5k. What can I say? I like a chrono.

Breitling Superocean II Diver in 42mm to scratch the blue faced dive watch itch. Would replace my blue faced/bezelled Raymond Weil Freelancer - which is actually my second favourite watch, but I would prefer the Breitling. In fact, I may make this trade-in any case. £3.5k

https://www.swisswatchesdirect.co.uk/watch/ab20101...

£26,000 left to make some more leftfield choices. I'd like something with a green face and the new Breitling Bentley Chrono fits the bill (and without its predecessors' bling), but I want only one thing from each brand...

ETA: Nope, went predictable. This PP, which I love, in white gold:

.

I think the weak link here for me is the Omega - I think I may want something else from their range.

OK .... I'll play .... If I didn't have a single watch
1: Girard Perregaux Laureato Perpetual Date,
Daily wearer as it is a perpetual date watch and sporty, stainless steel bracelet watch but also slim and discrete
2: DiW Rolex Daytona,
Good for recreational wear, colourful but also not too big or brash,
3: HYT H1
Just because ..... Technical masterpiece and a great watch
4: Hublot Big Bang Womanity,
Like the DiW Daytona, Good for recreational wear, discrete yet colourful but also not too big or brash (alternately a Hublot Jeans ... same reason)

I tried on a white gold Daytona once. While I’m not really a Daytona fan, I’d have one of them. I’d then have to have a Ulysse Nardin Freak and that is me clean out of cash!

Hublot Big Bang Womanity,
Limited edition to support the Womanity charity

Very discrete pink markings

I think Arranguez .... You need to study Chrono24 a bit more ... you may be pleasantly surprised what your £100k will stretch to,
The Freak (Blue Phantom) has been a fantasy watch of mine, but now nowhere near a HYT in the fantasy stakes hehe

If you meant "What" to the DiW Daytona .... item 2 thumbup

I have of course completely missed £40k's worth of Sapphire Hublot Big Bang

Well in which case don’t tell the wife, but I’m remortgaging!

Harry, I recently bought a UN but seriously considered the Freak X. Didn’t in the end as the one I did buy was a watch I’d been coveting for about 15 years.

I'd change the Navitimer strap to brown leather but this lot would keep me very happy. At present, I have the Moonwatch and working on the Navitimer. As you can tell I'm naturally drawn to chronographs, the more iconic the better.

Last time a R Smith "Daniels" came up it was £235,000. So if three of us pooled our fantasy watch budget and timeshared the watch...
