As is tradition, here are my horological ins & outs of the year

These all left the fold

The first 2 were watches I weren't wearing all that much

The BLNR went as part of a trade for a RG Yacht Master & the Speedie & Aquatimer were sold to help towards "balancing the books"

and these joined

I've had several U1's but this is by far my favourite. I bought it new via Chrono24 with the bracelet too, but I like it on the rubber so much I've never even fitted the bracelet.

I have an original DS PH200, but these re-issues are just cracking value for money

I'm not generally a gold watch person at all, but there is something about these & I've wanted one since having a good look at one on a GTG not long after they were released. Yes it "cost me" 3 nice pieces, but I'm still chuffed to have it.

So in summary, a comparatively quiet year on the watch front by my usual standards.

Let's see yours.

None either way. On the plus side, none purchased. I got into a habit of buying cheap watches because they looked nice, so I've probably spent £000s on watches with little value. That said, if they're considered art on your wrist and to be enjoyed then that I did. And because I spent more time indoors, I got more time to enjoy wearing different watches through the day. silly

Love the op's Seiko he got rid of.

My Bremont above on the bracelet is now my pride and joy. Special "Royal Marines" Arrow, one of 150 to be made smile

Been a pretty busy year for me! I?ve cleared out a bunch of Seikos and mods to make room for a grail of mine, also kept a few mods back for myself.

Orange Monster - Lovely watch that I?ve had for a long time, just got bored of it. Sold it on for a decent profit.

SKX007 - Planned to mod this one, and picked it up cheap. Managed to flip if for a decent profit after wearing for a few months.

SKX031 - Bought this cheap as it was very rough. With some work I built it into a Seiko style Kermit. Was a little small for even my wrists so this was moved on.

Custom build - A Bliger case and some Seiko parts, I really liked this one. But someone offered me a great price so moved it on.

Grey Dawn Samurai - Had a real love hate relationship with this. In the end it had to go, the hour hand is so short it drove me mad every time I looked at.

Ins were another pair of custom builds. One in a vintage style and one I call the Polar Sub. Finally the biggest acquisition, a Heuer 510.503 with Day and Date. Hunted one down for 5 years and found this one, a cheeky eBay bid later and here we are.

I sold my Black Bay GMT a couple of months back. Was considering also selling my Yachtmaster and purchasing a D-Blue Seadweller to go in it's place, but I am seriously tempted with a Sinn U1 and the photos above don't help!

Funny because my phone’s photo album says I bought this today in 2013

I sold it 3 months later to help fund a Deepsea that I got a £900 discount on

A Pelagos I bought in January 2014 went this year!

Out -

Damasko DC67Si - it was either this or my Sinn EZM13, the Sinn won.

DC67Si

Damasko DA44 - because I'd decided to keep the EZM13 I sold this one (watch head to a friend of mine, the bracelet sold separately) as they were both tool watches on bracelets. Whilst both the DC67Si and DA44 are technically superb watches I just wasn't wearing them compared to others so off they went.

DA44

Sinn 556i Mocha - beautiful dial however a bit of a niche watch, I loved it when I wore it however when you're wearing a watch maybe once or twice a year is it worth keeping? I thought not.

Mocha

Casio GW-B5600-2ER G-Shock (no 'photo) - bought one on a 50% off sale, didn't wear it once so gave it away in a TZ charity fundraiser raffle

In -

Newmark 71 (black dial, no date) - ordered via Kickstarter in 2019 and received in Jan 2020.

71

Sinn 104 St Sa ABE - one of 1000, ordered directly from Sinn themselves and long since sold out.

104 St Sa ABE

Tudor Blue Pelagos - probably my most worn watch of 2020.

Tudor Blue

Seiko World Time 6117-6400 - my first ever birth year watch that I bought the same day as I sold my DC67Si after a kind PM from someone who knew I'd be interested in it.

6117-6400

Ordered however not yet with me is an OceanX Sharkmaster (blue dial, blue bezel), hopefully to be dropped off within a few days.

I missed out on a Sinn st sa abe by £50 on ebay in the summer, it was mine via an offer but I changed my mind, gutted. Still I ended up with U1 instead.

Breitling 806 Navitimer re-release for my 50th in May.

And a Tudor BB58 for Christmas.

I was given this a few days ago, such a strange looking thing, I think it’s the first watch I can remember seeing
