I have a Klokers KLOK-01 which was a French Kickstarter project a few years ago. It’s quite neat, and the watch can be unclipped from the strap and refitted to a variety of accessories the company did... before they went bust. It’s also quite fragile; I dropped it once and the plastic lens cracked. Klokers replaced it FOC. I later dropped it again... hence the crack across the bottom corner... and they’re not around to change it now. (The brand seems to have been relaunched but they’ve changed the construction slightly so would have to sell me a new watch. To be fair they offered a decent discount but I’d rather just keep this one).

I haven’t worn it for a while and the battery has gone flat. At least I thought it had; I’ve changed the battery and it’s still not running. (I’ve checked the battery, and have also changed it successfully before).

I assume therefore it’s the movement. It’s a Ronda, and looks like you can get one the same for under a tenner online. Is this normally something which is easy enough to do yourself? I took out the white plastic ring then wasn’t sure how to remove the crown or otherwise get the movement out

Quick look at the image and i think I can see an arrow pointing towards a hole? Press something down into that hole whilst you pull the crown out, hopefully the crown comes all the way out.

No idea and can’t help at all but I hope you do get it working again - it’s a wonderful looking piece!

Thanks, yes there is a little arrow there - I will try that!

Poking the little arrowed hole did the trick, thanks - movement now out and replacement ordered from eBay.

The one I’ve taken out says (Ronda) 763R on it, I can’t find reference to that specifically anywhere online, it just seems to be 763 and 763E. They look the same however so I’ve gone with one and will see if it fits!

Aaargh.

The first 763 movement I bought either was broken on arrival, or I broke it trying to fit it. I decided it had to be knackered, so I bought a second one to try. The watch is now ticking, yay!

However... I’ve realised what the “R” bit meant on the 763R on the original movement. It means reverse, as the watch is now happily running backwards. Obvious if you think about it, as the discs should rotate anti clockwise!

I can’t see any online reference to a reverse 763 movement; is it possible to make one run backwards somehow? I assume not as simple as putting the battery in backwards!?

Can you tell me how you took off the white plastic rings? Im trying to swap out the guts of my klokers watch and put it in another klokers watch that I own. One has a broken crystal, but it works. the other one has a crystal in good condition but the watch doesn't work. Any suggestions?

on the Klokers watch, how to open the case to remove the movement (once the back-lid is removed)? I have the "r" movement for replacement.
