I have worn watches on nylon for years, normally G10 or similar one piece. They have saved my watches a handful of times.

Problem is, they'll also block the heart rate sensor of my incoming Garmin - so I'm getting nervous. I didn't mind risking a cheapo galaxy watch.

Does a two piece nylon strap with extra material linking the pieces around the side of the case as opposed to under, exist? I.e. if a spring bar pops off it would still be attached.

I know I could bodge one with an existing nato, but I'm sure I have seen and used something similar in the past...

Can't say I've ever seen anything like that.

Can you not wear the watch and sensor on different wrists?

What Garmin have you got?

My fenix uses pretty heafty bars, that are secured by screwing in to each other.

I've used mine for everything, including full on roll arounds at work and never lost it.

I'd say they are fairly tough.

How about a tether attached to standard strap, over your wrist?

I'm sure the reality is sadly different to how that phase can be read. wink

Thanks all - the spring bars are pretty tough, it's the quick release strap that was worrying me. I've bought a traditional nylon that the spring bars go through. Seems pretty robust!

The landyard idea is a good one...the only similar thing I could find was a thread on Watchuseek from an equally neurotic person!

Have you sorted this OP? If not might a separate HR chest-strap be the answer? They’re supposed to be more accurate in any case
