I've been given a watch that belonged to my late mother and am not sure if I need to add it as a single item on my insurance. I've done some googling and can't find anything similar and wondered if any of the experts on here could give me an idea of it's value? It's not for sale so I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules.
All I know is that it is a zenith hand wound made from platinum with diamonds on the bezel.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

£500 I would say.... maybe a bit more.

It's a sad fact that ladies watches don't fetch a huge sum these days (I know you're not selling) - just sad because they're every bit as good as a man's watch. In my years looking at watches, I've seen some real beauties, with great craftsmanship, precious metals and lovely movements go for buttons.

Lovely heirloom for you to have though.

Thanks for that. A quick google suggests the metal alone is worth several times that. However it will be put away with my wife's grandmothers very small gold Omega that we have just paid £550 to restore and will eventually be passed down to the children.

The diamonds in yours look bigger than NDAs link? Or is that just the photo?

As you said, unfortunately, it's 'worth' more in bits, but I don't suppose it matters.

I've been looking for a used yellow gold Rolex Day-Date and so many have the bracelets missing frown
