I am very impressed with the new Tudor BB ceramic. It is not my style of watch but it is amazing value. It’s closest competitor is the Cermaic Seamaster is £7k twice the price.

The omegas are more expensive but you'll also find that more of the Omega is ceramic.

I think the new BB ceramic is only the case and the bezel insert is actually ceramic.

However, only the buyer can decide if the Omega is worth the premium.

Looks good but annoying they don’t put curved ends on the strap. Makes it look unnecessarily aftermarket.

I think the ceramic Seamaster has ceramic crown, bezel etc.

This might not be that big a deal now but I wonder if after a few years the PVD bits on the Tudor will show wear compared to the pristine mid case?

I do like the Tudor, I have wanted a BB since launch but there is just something that puts me off.

Hi
What exactly do you mean about curved ends on the strap?
Thanks

He means the strap isn't fitted to the curve of the case.

It is a pet peeve of mine on many watches. Breitling Superoceans are the same on their rubber straps and it looks cheap.

Thanks, I see what you mean now.

I'm quite new to the world of watch collecting. Will this METAS thing be a bit of a game changer for Tudor or is it no big deal.

Cheers

I saw a Youtube video this morning on the Bark & Jack channel where the new Tudor Ceramic was featured and whilst I do think in many ways it is an impressive thing spec wise for the money I have gone off it somewhat, dare I say it is too black? I think it would have been nicer personally if they had done something more with the bezel rather than gloss black numbers on a matt black base. It's only my personal opinion though.

I might have been too quick to compare the Tudor Ceramic v Seamaster ceramic. Does the Tudor have a ceramic case or a PVD coated steel case?

Even so for a metas movement for under £4K is still good value.
