Hi
Just wondering whether the rubber strap is any good. Especially whether it's comfortable or gets sweaty?
Nowhere local to try it on, my local WOS don't stock Omega so I'd have to travel into town.

I have a Planet Ocean on the (costly) Omega rubber strap.... I bought the watch with the steel bracelet, but prefer the rubber.

It's a decent strap.

If you're in Hampshire/Surrey borders, you could take a look and try it on.

Thanks. Is the rubber strap you've got the same as the one that the current Seamaster comes on?

I bought this one a couple of years ago and although I don’t wear it particularly tight, it’s perfectly comfortable in all weathers and makes a nice change from steel bracelets in my opinion.

I have one as below. Its a cheap rubber strap that I choose from a huge trade catalogue that a local Watchmaker uses. He fitted it. I did not want to spunk a load of £££ on an Omega one in case I did not like it and I think at the time I could not find one in blue either. Its been on for 18 months or so and I would not go back to the bracelet. At some point I will get the real deal. Its also my daily watch whatever am am doing. I usually wear my IWC on its leather croc evenings. Gone off Rolex now everyone has one.

That's nice.
However I notice that yours is perforated to help with heat/sweat build up.
But the one on the current Seamaster isn't, and that's my concern.

Thanks

Thanks, I thought it was a bit different. I’ve taken another photo, no perforations (although I can see it looked like it in the first photo):

I would not worry about rubber straps from OEMs. Some of my watches have them, and they are no less comfy or more sweaty than bracelet or leather straps. They have the bonus of being lighter on the wrist and easy to clean.

Oh, thanks very much.
I see now that it's not perforated. That detailing on the strap is very nice though!

I have a Planet Ocean on a rubber strap.

I also have a Seamaster 300m professional on a bracelet and I have a Nato strap for it.

The Planet Ocean easily gets the most use, its basically my daily watch. Its very comfortable and I don't have to worry about a metal bracelet getting scratched on my desk at work.

I do love the Seamaster 300 as well, it's the current one with white face and black bezel but that's more of a weekend wearer. I wore it on a nato for a while and I loke that also but then I bought the PO and put the 300m back onto its bracelet.

Thank you.
Now I just need to decide between the white or black face! (the blue definitely isn't for me)

I have one with buckle for my PO, never wear it as it is just a tad too tight. Shame as I really liked the look of it.

I have a rubber fetish... I tend to buy watches on the metal variant, even if they do come in rubber, then swap out to a rubber.

OEM rubber straps are fine, usually of a high grade material. Some generic unbranded after market straps are also good but it's very hit and miss.

The rubber on the SMP300 from my experience is a good quality strap. If you like it, go ahead, no problems in my opinion.

Here's mine:

Thank you.
I actually tried the Sea master on the oem rubber strap on Monday. It felt great and very comfortable, and as many have stated more comfortable than a metal bracelet.

I didn't pull the trigger as I was buying another watch which I'd been waiting for. But as soon as funds allow I will buy the watch on a rubber strap, looks lovely and feels good.

Cheers

Do you know what the brand it is? That looks perfect for me as I have smallish wrists but would only wear a rubber bracelet on a deployant as I prefer them.
