Anybody got an Omega Seamaster on rubber strap?
Discussion
I have one as below. Its a cheap rubber strap that I choose from a huge trade catalogue that a local Watchmaker uses. He fitted it. I did not want to spunk a load of £££ on an Omega one in case I did not like it and I think at the time I could not find one in blue either. Its been on for 18 months or so and I would not go back to the bracelet. At some point I will get the real deal. Its also my daily watch whatever am am doing. I usually wear my IWC on its leather croc evenings. Gone off Rolex now everyone has one.

I bought this one a couple of years ago and although I don’t wear it particularly tight, it’s perfectly comfortable in all weathers and makes a nice change from steel bracelets in my opinion.
However I notice that yours is perforated to help with heat/sweat build up.
But the one on the current Seamaster isn't, and that's my concern.
Thanks

Thanks, I thought it was a bit different. I’ve taken another photo, no perforations (although I can see it looked like it in the first photo):However I notice that yours is perforated to help with heat/sweat build up.

I have a Planet Ocean on a rubber strap.
I also have a Seamaster 300m professional on a bracelet and I have a Nato strap for it.
The Planet Ocean easily gets the most use, its basically my daily watch. Its very comfortable and I don't have to worry about a metal bracelet getting scratched on my desk at work.
I do love the Seamaster 300 as well, it's the current one with white face and black bezel but that's more of a weekend wearer. I wore it on a nato for a while and I loke that also but then I bought the PO and put the 300m back onto its bracelet.

I have a rubber fetish... I tend to buy watches on the metal variant, even if they do come in rubber, then swap out to a rubber.
OEM rubber straps are fine, usually of a high grade material. Some generic unbranded after market straps are also good but it's very hit and miss.
The rubber on the SMP300 from my experience is a good quality strap. If you like it, go ahead, no problems in my opinion.

Thank you.
I actually tried the Sea master on the oem rubber strap on Monday. It felt great and very comfortable, and as many have stated more comfortable than a metal bracelet.
I didn't pull the trigger as I was buying another watch which I'd been waiting for. But as soon as funds allow I will buy the watch on a rubber strap, looks lovely and feels good.
Cheers

Do you know what the brand it is? That looks perfect for me as I have smallish wrists but would only wear a rubber bracelet on a deployant as I prefer them.Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
