Hi,

Fairly new to watches. Never purchased anything more than a Christopher Ward when they were actually VFM and a few G shocks.

Keep coming back to Navitimer 1. Visited a dealer but still can't get my head around the number of models and variance of prices even within this specific model.

I'd like a 'proper' Navitimer, so with the 5 o clock date and 3 lower dials.
I keep hearing the '01' movement which has been around since 2009. Not sure if this has been superseded.
I did like the gold wings top centre but it looks like the new models have reverted to a 'B'

Regards price...Is there expected discount available?
I'm sure one my car clubs have a sponsorship/discount deal with jewellers.
The model I looked at was white dials on black. Black strap. RRP about £6800 iirc.
Watchfinder has preowned for around £5300
Found a site called The Watch Source which has new for around £5500 - Again varying prices for models which look the same to me??

edit - Found the difference, leather strap and push button clasp - About £200 between them.

I appreciate your focus on Breitling, but it's also worthwhile looking at the Sinn 903. Slightly smaller, better water resistance and £3,300 on bracelet. For me it's the watch I would go for, but I do like Sinn.

Did nip to a local Boutique yesterday.

Still not sure on 43mm or 46mm

They insisted Navitimer was a manual wind not an Automatic which surprised me somewhat. Always understood it to be Auto.
Also suggested if you were taking their 0% finance, there would be zero discount available.
