Watchfinder experience
Discussion
I'm looking to thin down my collection and have been considering whether selling through Chrono24 or Watchfinder would be the way to go rather than taking on the risk associated with selling privately...
...been looking at possibly sending the watches to Watchfinder as I obtained a pretty decent quotes for my watches.
Would you recommend selling through WF?

Yes, I have done multiple purchases and sales with Watchfinder, everything from a quartz Tag to a limited run ceramic Blancpain FF. They have been as good as their word every time for me albeit I think their spreads have widened to the point of ridiculousness for me. They seem to low ball things you might not expect and pay over the odds for things you wouldn't expect them to. But, as a service, I have had no reason to fault them....been looking at possibly sending the watches to Watchfinder as I obtained a pretty decent quotes for my watches.

FWIW - I sold two Omega watches through C24 last year to private sellers (a speedmaster pro went to Australia and a broad arrow GMT went to Sweden) and that was also a good experience, with lots of communication beforehand, close up photos or any scratches etc, just to there were no surprises. C24 does offer up quite a lot of protection but as ever, how you run the transaction can make all the difference.

I thought about selling my Tudor GMT as soon as I had got it, due to the time it took to get it I purchased other watches, the watch was brand new with stickers, they offered me £980 for it, at the time they were trying to sell them for £4000+
Safe to say I kept the watch and actually glad I did, as been wearing it a lot.

That really is a remarkably low-ball offer. It makes one wonder how they ever get stock in. Safe to say I kept the watch and actually glad I did, as been wearing it a lot.
Just completed the sale of the watches to WF - the process was very smooth and in the end, they offered more than I paid for the watches 3 years ago
Coming out of an IWC and Tudor in the positive £+ doesn't happen often! Going to miss both the IWC and Pelagos LHD. Just need to find a way to get rid of the bespoke leather pilot strap and OEM IWC deployant clasp..

It sounds like they didn't want the watch to me. Safe to say I kept the watch and actually glad I did, as been wearing it a lot.
I don't get their current pricing on Tudor GMT's, they seem to be asking more or near enough what I can get one for my walking into my local AD and buying new, and the AD have them for sale in the window.
I wonder if they have a glut of them and are struggling to get back out of them again
