Tag Heuer Aquaracer 500 Calibre 5 automatic
Discussion
Any good for a daily watch?
I've found one in a local jewellers. Circa 2015 I think and full set.
Pic attached below. It needs a good clean and polish but would likely come up ok for daily semi smart duties...

Views on suitability and price point welcome.
Thanks all

I had this exact model back in 2012 (Sold it in 2014).
I bought it for less than that brand new from the TAG outlet in Cheshire Oaks.
As per the comment above, it looks well worn to me at that price. I'd look at an Outlet or somewhere you can get a hefty discount on a new one for not much more.

Worn in, and half worn out too. I doubt that it cost this new.
Look on eBay sale prices for example, there are a number selling for more than is being asked for this one (which I think is too much due to condition)944 Man said:
I'm sorry but that is just silly. It is either an ETA 2824-2 or a clone of one and it will cost about 20% of your suggested service price, at the most.
I was a little off - a service from Tag for this is 'From £520' according to their website.I’d probably be happy with it serviced “in house” tbh.
I usually wear G shocks on a daily basis because I’m a clumsy fekker and bang my wrists off walls/doors/anything possible that can scratch watches….
The idea was to have this as a daily “smarter” alternative which doesn’t need to be worried about too much..
Figured £950 was a reasonable starting point bearing in mind the clean and service will be in house… depending on what it comes up like, it’s certainly looking unloved but no significant dinks or marks… (will need a proper second look).
Thanks all for your comments, appreciated

Why would you go to Duval, who have a terrible reputation, to get a generic 2824 movement serviced for over five times the market rate?Page link .. https://www.tagheuer.com/gb/en/service/our-service...
And downloadable pdf link from there ..

From my quick google a full service, polish, and postage direct would be £345. Can’t work out where ‘from £520’ has come from, though the price list you get to download does say 2017 price.
