I've got a couple of IWC Ingenieurs that need a service - one quite urgently as it's slowed to the point of being unusable and one because it's a similar age and I'd like to prevent the same happening

they are a 3227 from around 2008 and a 323301 from around 2010/11

I've taken it to the the local watch servicing place and they tell me it needs to go to IWC as they don't release the parts to independent watch repairers.

This is going to both be very expensive and also take an age - do I have any other alternatives or have I been given the correct advice?

cheers

Although not close to you, I was happy with the service early this year on my Pilot from https://watchdoctors.co.uk
