Choose Between These Two!

I fancy buying a new chronograph and after much deliberation have narrowed my choice down to these two

Breitling Premier B01 https://www.breitling.com/gb-en/watches/premier/pr...

IWC Pilot 41mm https://www.iwc.com/gb/en/watch-collections/pilot-...

I've tried both on several times and just can't decide. Both have in-house movements (okay IWC is a modded 7750) , are roughly the same size and have display backs which I like. Both look very good on the wrist. I can get a better discount on the Breitling which brings it more in line with the IWC price.

Which would you buy and why ?

Of the two you've given, I'd personally buy the IWC as I prefer how it looks. The modified 7750 is a bit of a blemish for no real reason other than it'd be more interesting if it was something different

I really don't get these threads.

As watches, there's nothing wrong with either. It's a piece of jewellery, the only person's opinion that should matter is your own.
If you're buying it becuase you seek approval from others, respectfully your money would be better spent on some self confidence counselling.

Buy the one that YOU like and everyone else be damned.

If that doesn't help, try flipping a coin. Heads watch A, Tails watch B. DO NOT open the spoiler until you're done.
If you're disappointed with the result of the coin toss, it's the wrong answer. Buy the other watch. The coin toss is just a random process to help you work out what you actually want.

Breitling.

Just my opinion based on experience of owning both brands and personal preference.

Will it be a keeper, or something you may sell in the future? This will influence your decision making process.

IWC for me.. Breitling just aren't a brand that particularly appeals to me for some reason.

I'd go neither I am afraid, and would pick the Hublot posted above or a Girard Perregaux Laureato Chronograph (yes I am biased having just picked a GP up, but this to me feels a much more interesting option than the IWC or Breitling)
