Hello!
Do any of you chaps wear a 'woman's' watch? There are watches that are obviously feminine but there are a few which are a woman's watch but only through description.

I love the look of this: Breitling CHRONOMAT AUTOMATIC 36
Stainless Steel - Mint Green
https://www.breitling.com/gb-en/watches/chronomat/...

or

https://www.breitling.com/gb-en/watches/chronomat/...

It's classed as a female watch but I think it should look great on a man, not too large, classic steel with a beautiful coloured dial and would suit the skinny, medium wrist.

I might go and see one!

Go for it. Does it matter what it looks like as long as you like it? Don't worry what anyone else thinks.

If you want opinions, personally I like both especially the green one.

Both nice looking & wouldn't even think of them being "female" watches if you hadn't pointed it out tbh!

36mm for me is too small, my preference is 40mm as a minimum. As I say, that’s my preference.

The mint green does look great though and I’d happily wear it if it were bigger.

Different as it’s not a watch, but when I was younger I always used to buy women’s trainers as they seemed to have a much better choice of colour.

I guess what I’m trying to say is if you like it, wear it. Do you think anybody will actually know it’s a ‘woman’s’ watch? Other than us of course as you’ve just told us laugh

Do it! The green 36mm Chronomat is an excellent choice on the bracelet. So comfy. The deep blue excellent too.

No issue at all in my opinion. In fact I think they are some of the nicest watches from Breitling I have seen. I prefer smaller watches and would now be max 40mm (42mm at a push if thin). I fancy a dress watch next and would only go 36mm as that is my opinion of what works well on my wrist and in the settings I would wear it. My dream would be a Vacheron Patrimony at 36mm which is marketed under the woman's section. It's only Marketing.

I also think the trend for smaller watches on men will continue

The Green one looks very nice.

I wouldnt look at them and consider them to.be women's watches they would be too small for me as I have large wrists but that's an individual thing.

If you like it go for it.

Can't see an issue, too many things that don't need to be are described as mens and womens. Some things I get but other things like this are daft. I'm currently wearing a pair of 'womens' trail shoes, exactly the same as the mens but different colour options

And me. I wouldn’t wear a 36mm watch, but YMMV.

I switch between a 36mm and 40mm watch, and no longer wear any of my larger watches.

I don't get the current style of massive watches the size of your wrist...just a bit bling for me

One thing I would look at is how much they are used.
‘Women’s watches’ don’t seem to hold their value as much as men’s do.

You may get a bargain.

It looks like Breitling Men are only allowed 40mm+, but Breitling women are allowed anything from 36mm - 44mm. Thats blatant sexism right there.

Joking aside, I think I prefer more of their ladies watches than mens.

I'm surprised more brands don't follow the likes of Nomos. IIRC, they used to advertise watches as men's / women's / unisex, but looking at their website now it's just organized by product line with no mention of gender. The only concession I could see is that in the pictures, the ones that look like ladies watches (to me at least) had a lady wearing them. Just put your collections on the market for whoever fancies buying them.

I'd go with the mint. I think watches are about personal preference. If you like it, get it.

Watch Dirty Harry (always on) or any other film from the 60s, 70s and you will see how large watches are a modern thing that appears to be more about marketing (seen from a far easier) rather than anything else.

The original Oyster perpetuals were 34mm I think and the modern Oyster perpetuals at that size still look great.

Great looking watch. If you like it, buy it. I wear an old Omega Constellation that I bought more than 25 years ago. While it's a gents watch, it's 32.5mm and I wouldn't wear anything much larger as I'm light built so it wouldn't suit me.
