Est1897, any experience or feedback?
Discussion
Est1897.co.uk have a watch I'm interested in which seems less expensive than others advertised. It's over £3000 so easily the most expensive watch I've ever bought. Does anyone have any experience or feedback about them? I'm nervous about buying a dud though they appear to have a way of viewing in a local branch of H&T Pawnbrokers.
Thanks for any information.

It’s the same company. The shops have watches on display also along with other jewellery. The shops don’t sell bikes or tellies or old power tools or other tat, just watches and jewellery. I bought from the shop, the watch was on display in the window and caught my eye as I walked past so I went in. It was as new condition with boxes, papers, still under manufacturer guarantee plus they give their own one year warranty and guarantee.
I also had another watch from the 1897 site sent to the local branch to view, again full papers, box etc but I decided against it as it was too big, It was hassle free to have it sent and walk out when I didn’t want it.
Some watches don’t have papers or boxes, just a warranty card from H+T, but that’s no different to any other used watch reseller.
I’d buy from them again, and if you like the look of the watch have it sent to your nearest branch, if you decide against it then just walk away with no obligation.

Just to close off this thread and thank people for their help, I didn't buy the watch. It's a Breitling Cosmonaute automatic with date - like a Navitimer but with a 24 hour dial. It looked good but, as I knew beforehand, had no history, service info, box, papers etc. Only a certificate of authenticity from a company (just googled) who are not accredited for Breitling. They would not move on the price so I decided to keep looking.
