While the title is clickbait, this Telegraph article could interest some people (albeit, it's behind a paywall): The nine luxury watches that are just as good as a Rolex

Almost any luxury watch Is as “good” as a Rolex.
Goodness is a poor indicator of either demand or pricing though.

Stupid article.

When did Tag Heuer or Longines become "luxury"?

About the same time Audi and BMW did.

Written by a layman for laymen, Rolex make the best luxury watches in the world you know!

If anyone is desperately struggling to see the article because fo the paywall, I have two things to tell you:
1/ try installing the 'Disable javascript' browser extension. And of course, using it.
2/ you're going to be disappointed.

Are these 'articles' actually advertorials?

The Times on Saturday had their Lux pull out featuring a 'Rolex GMT starting from £8 800' which we all know is unobtainable at that price and the same in the Brummell pull out on Sunday again featuring a Rolex (and PP I think) which again are not possible to buy from a dealer. It is either paid for ads or a journo who hasn't a clue.
