New Tudor Ranger

New product line from Tudor. I guess it’s their take on the Explorer? Nice to have a new model rather than another black bay derivative?

The Ranger line has been around for a while (though not doubting this is a new watch). Think they historically had arrow hands so looks like a pretty honest continuation of the style.

Nice, but a little too much like my Tudor North Flag, so a no from me (for now ).

It would be nice if they went a little more wild with the colours, this would be a must buy for me in funkier colours...

The North Flag was like a modernised Ranger so makes sense.

I agree colours would be cool.

One of the few 'quality' watches on my radar; it would make a nice alternative to my explorer.
Have to say though, I'm finding myself reaching for a G-Shock more often than not these days.

Me too - it’s even worse that they look nothing like snowflakes.

Anyway, better hands but a pretty dull watch so standard Tudor.

Was passing by a watch shop in London and noticed this in the window.

I went to check it out and it’s not bad, but not brilliant either. As an Explorer 1 owner I can appreciate the simplicity. The bracelet is nice and it wears very similar to as black bay 58 but whether you’re a Tudor fan or not, I think there are better watches around at or less than this price point. No doubting it’s a quality product though.

Yep, thinking about that for my BB 58. It is much better and has micro adjust too.

Ever since this was announced (not long ago ) I have been trying to convince myself this is the watch I should go for instead of Rolex Explorer which is my dream watch. Sadly, in the end the dial and numerals look like a toy watch to me, I just love Explorer numerals therefore the wait continues…

Looks nice in professional photos where lighting etc is controlled, but in all photos taken at an AD and "everyday" photos that I've seen it looks very bland which is a shame. Not seen one in person but it just has very little attention to detail in the closeup images I've seen?

I'd agree with this, it just looks instantly forgettable. I generally like Tudor but it does nothing for me.

Aside from the Pelagos everything in their range is just underwhelming. It’s either faux vintage or dull and boring or, like this Ranger, both.

I quite liked my BB58 black but I never wore it as there was always something else in my collection that was more interesting and better looking that I wanted to wear. I know I’ve chosen the right watch when I can’t stop looking at it or taking photos of it - I never gave the Tudor a second glance really.
