Advice on a replacement battery
Discussion
Hello, first time poster in this section but I often lurk.
I have a watch that I bought new in 2007 (it’s the same watch as used by Keifer’s character in season 1 of 24) that needs a new battery.
Opening the watch, it’s got a Sony us1620n rechargeable battery (no voltage marking) , which after a bit of Googling it seems this is an obsolete battery, also it seems that it was 3v from the 1 photo I could find of someone else also looking to replace a dead cell.
Could I replace this with a 3.6v li-ion of the same size, ie: 1620 with no I’ll effects?
Any help is much appreciated.
