Tiffany Bracelet
Discussion
Hi Team,
Apologies, didn’t know which subsection this should be in.
I purchased a Tiffany bracelet for my partner, who is no longer with us. Unfortunately 12 months have now passed since I can deal with it so Tiffany are unable to accept its return.
The item is still in the postage box, it arrived at my house in. Complete with gift box and the usual Tiffany fanfare. Completely untouched. It cost me nearly £600, product here:

I’m after advice as to where folk would think I’d get the best price for this as I’m loathe to put on the usual auction sites. Tiffany suggested Christies?
Thanks..

Firstly, can I offer my sympathy for your loss.
As you probably know, Tiffany jewellery is made from silver, so the actual jewellery has very little intrinsic value. You are paying for the name, the packaging and the first class treatment when you visit their shops.
Unfortunately I think your only real option is to sell it on somewhere like eBay. A jeweller is not going to be interested in purchasing if from you other than scrap, and with silver at £13.37 an OZ you are going to get nothing for it.

Some silver Tiffany items are fetching decent values (for silver jewellery) on the auctions.
Fellows had a few listings fetch way over guide back in June. They might be worth a look?
Most people buying on eBay would expect or suspect it to be fake as there’s so many fakes about that it’s not the easiest place to get decent bids
Sorry for your loss

Christie’s, if they’d even take it, would just charge you more than a local auction house. As someone pointed out above the mark up on Tiffany stuff is massive. If they won’t take it back, stick it on eBay. I wouldn’t expect more than a third of what you paid for it. Apologies, didn’t know which subsection this should be in.

I agree with the others. Just stick it on Ebay. It will sell easily on there if you include a redacted photo of the invoice. As suggested, wait for a £1 listing day or something like that to avoid the fees.
I've sold loads of stuff on ebay with no issues. Jewellery my wife asked me to sell, numerous watches, of all kinds of values.
