My favourite watch is a 2254.50 sword hand 300m Seamaster. I absolutely love the uncluttered dial and the overall design.

The only thing I don't like on this watch is the lack of a micro adjust on the bracelet. I've experimented in adding an extra half link but the band feels way too loose. Without the half link, the band fits perfectly (if a little snug) in normal conditions but as my body temperature increases my wrist swells and the tightness becomes really uncomfortable. I really need an extra1 - 2mm.

I've worn the watch on a nato or perlon strap a few times which is really comfortable, but the watch doesn't feel quite as special without the bracelet.

Has anyone found a decent solution for this scenario? Are there any clone bracelets that include a micro adjust for example?

The current Seamasters have micro adjustment. I dont imagine it would be cheqp to buy a genuine bracelet though.

The Uncle Seiko ones are for the 300m Seamaster. Not the 2254.50.

Apparently the US 1171 bracelet will work.

By the way I wish I had known about them, I sold my SMP 300 because I couldn’t get a decent fit on the bracelet! Ah well.

They are ok. Nothing like the quality of the original.

Half link will be way cheaper than a Omega clasp, lovely though they are.

Is there not the option for (this is not the correct term) hole adjustment on the clasp? On most of my watches you can put a link in, half link in or do small adjustments with the extra holes where the bracelet meets the clasp?

Indeed my Planet Ocean (Seamaster) does though I believe the older models may not have?

Would think the clasp could be transplanted?

The previous generation SMP and PO clasp don't have any micro adjust, neither holes nor the press button.

You can switch between clasps, but some are easier to switch between than others.

Couple of OEM options. Buy an additional half link. Two half links are actually slightly larger than one whole link. Or you can buy the adjustable clasp and end links and fit this. You need both as you will be fitting screw link fittings to a push fit bracelet.

I love my original PO but hated the non adjustment on the bracelet, so scoured EBay for a while and picked up a nice one with a few screwed links, absolutely brilliant wit three stages of micro adjustment.

There is one for sale on EBay used from Scotland £196

On the older style SMP 300 bracelets there are no extra holes (micro adjust) on the clasp.

Your only option with the original bracelet is to mess about with half links in the hope you get the perfect fit, I think. It’s why I sold mine.

If the clasp is not adjustable then changing the links won't help if ones wrist swells and shrinks through the day. It will still be either too loose or tight.
I fitted the Omega toolless adjustable clasp to mine and it's made a world of difference. There are many threads on the internet
explaining this mod:

https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/finally-did-the...

If you are in the UK then contact this company they will explain all the parts required:

https://www.swisswatchspares.com/omega-bracelet-cl...

It is a very popular mod so they may no longer have the parts required.

Or alternativley ask an Omega AD though they may not be keen as it's classed as a mod.

It's not cheap but well worth it.

I think you can get a Goldilocks fit without on the fly micro adjust, they’re nice to have though.
