Help an Uncle get a gift for his Cousin's 18th
Discussion
Cousins 18th soon and he is starting his watch journey already (good lad) so wanted to get him a watch between me and my parents (his Grand Parents)
Not big spenders, he had expressed in liking for the Swatch/Omega Missions which we are happy to get him, but getting to a store in time for potentail stock deliveries is difficult.
Any one local to a store, recomend an alternative or even have one they don't particularly want? Happy to a small premium but only asmall 'thank you gesture'
Or something else that would interests him.

Have a look at the "other" moonwatch
Bulova lunar pilot.
Then quickly look away Bulova lunar pilot.

If you live close to a swatch shop it’s worth checking in.
Have you asked what other watches he likes?

I have a Spinnaker, they look quite good for him too.
And I love my Aragon, but he seamed less keen when I showed it to him.
T K Maxx had some Spinnakers on sale, might be worth a look on their website, £150 I think. Good value. And I love my Aragon, but he seamed less keen when I showed it to him.
What about the Seiko panda chrono. Those are really nice.
Your Nephew might like the Swatch Night Flight Speedmastery looks but made of metal….

Certina DS chrono, good quality make, great spec, sapphire crystal, very accurate and clever chronograph 100m wr and huge price reduction at the moment….

And another shout for the Bulova

He's 18, he uses social media. Stick with the moonswatch or he'll be disappointed. Sure it may not last until his 21st but thats a different story. Not big spenders, he had expressed in liking for the Swatch/Omega Missions which we are happy to get him, but getting to a store in time for potentail stock deliveries is difficult.

If he really likes the Moonswatch then that is the answer, despite it not being a particularly great or durable watch, and rather overpriced.
Few watches "resonate" with the youff, however, G-Shocks are worn and respected by many of the youngsters.
This is a new model, typical G-Shock durability, has BlueTooth connectivity allowing you to set alarms/reminders, time and zone sync etc. Solar charging so in 10 years it'll still be running without any costs.

There's also a funky yellow version if he wanted something a bit more shouty. (£129 for the one above, tenner extra for the yellow).
Like all presents it's probably best to give them a few options and let them decide or it will languish in a draw or end up on "gumbaymarketplace".

How about this?

Thanks for all the ideas.
Love the Bulova and back story and found a great price for one and my prefered option but as M11rph said if Moonswatch is what was liked it is the only real option. (On my buy list now though)
In London last weekend, joined the queue at 9.20 for Oxford Street, told at 9.50 nothing available. Decided to dash to Covent Garden and the queue was less, joined it& was told they were expecting so, no idea what or when.
Daughter went off to her Uni open day and as it was a nice day i stayed in the queue. Around 12, We were told the only had two versions, Staturn and Jupiter, which were on the prefered list. A little later they walked down the queue with the two types for people to see and managed the queue well preventing any 'roadmen' from jumping the queue. Then the announced card only, no change and that really piss*d the resellers off!
So managed to bag a Saturn and gave it to him last Sunday.
Got a spare Swatch bag too spoof him with a load of chocolate and beer.
He loves it!
