Doesn't sound particularly bad (all things considered) but ...

We are writing to inform you that we recently discovered unauthorised access to a user account belonging to one of our employees which resulted in lists of our prospective customers being compromised. We took immediate action and the matter is being investigated. All our systems remain protected.

The records in question may include your e-mail address, telephone number and/or any watches that you have expressed an interest in. They do not include any postal addresses, passwords, credit card details or other banking information.

Nevertheless, given the nature of the data, we want to notify you about this issue so that you can be alert to any suspicious correspondence.

We have informed the relevant authorities and are conducting a further review of our security measures and policies.

The confidential nature of our relationship with you is very important to us, and we wish to reassure you that the safety and security of your personal information remains a priority for us.

Indeed. On one of the naughty sites (BreachForums), someone posted on the 19th "Today I have uploaded the Watchfinder & Co. Database for you to download, thanks for reading and enjoy!" ... although the data itself seems to have been generated in May 2022; 680k customer addresses and whatnot.

A collapse in the market and now data breaches. I’m not so sure I would feel confident sending my watch to them.

It would be naïve to think that any company is capable of fully securing their customer's data. Just the way the world is.

I had a email from them yesterday regards to data breach, so I changed my password to my account.
