Non watch person haul
Discussion
I think of myself as a non watch person and don't tend to even wear them and don't collect.
Despite this over my life I seem to have acquired through gifting a haul of some watches given to me in time, some interesting, some less ?

A Yves Renoir. No idea what this is, I have some papers came with it just guarantee and instructions though. I don't think its real gold
My wifes swatch, just getting the battery to replace for her 395
A "Rolex Yachmaster" (Not)
I like it for some reason though. Never really worn so its in pretty good nick ( the second hand actually sweeps smoothly and keeps time).
A genuine USSR MOLNIJA pocket watch ( incidentally I have some unopened USSR era Stolna label litre bottled too lol ). Wasn't going but seems to be now. For some reason on history I have a genuine piece of the Berlin wall, not in photo.
Boxed Rotary Elite just in steel with guarantee paperwork.
Fiesta Bowl 1984 US watch, I think given to players.
A cheap ass gold looking Accurist, if its gold then its likely plated lol - I think this was one of my earlier watches when I wore so probably more around school era time and explains the loss of strap through use.
Then a more recent "Swatch" Torino 2006 (V8) in stainless steel ( given to me I don't really wear due to battery gone but may replace that same time as I do the wifes).

None of them
I've generally always hated the feeling of them on my wrist, from the hair pulling expandable straps to bulky ones. I still find them interesting though.
The pickup of the mobile phone and never being less than 1m from a phone or computer in this digital age, I've not been compelled to wear a watch for ages.
That said I'm perhaps drawn more to interest of them as objects as a I get older. This is a pretty pittiful collection but at least present some interest to me, perhaps mostly the Russian pocket watch. I'm just changing the Swatch battery on one for my wife, though she has others.

The Russian stopwatch and the fake Rolex are so far bulletproof, a bit slow to restart the Russian at first - but its ticking away like made now - both are analogue winding and out of choice I'd take all my watches this way or automatic.
I actually am growing a hatred of quartz watches after trying to restart the Rotary and failed on what was brand new boxed watch to me - not a fan, I prefer automatic or manual. It has been stopped for decades, will have to take into a repairer. I find it ridiculous though that they are supposed to be authorised repair to change a frigging battery ffs.
