I have an early Clerc hydroscaph GMT Power Reserve GMT-1.1.1 (looks like this but without the lume blob on the seconds hand: https://www.jurawatches.co.uk/products/clerc-watch... ) that needs a service.
It has stopped, I suspect mainspring failure.
I approached a watch service place I found online and they advised me that Clerc had been mothballed due to the pandemic and that parts would be hard to source.
Any recommendations? Thanks for any advice..

I cannot be of any help but thanks for expanding my knowledge, I had never heard of the brand before.

I’d imagine they would probably use either a stock or modify stock movement known to the industry so a decent watch repair place should be able to help or at least provide a more detailed response.

A lot of people from these parts recommend ringing Joe at Anglesey Watch & Clock. He is always very busy though so you might have to be patient.

Thanks for the reply. They are lovely watches. This model uses the Calibre C610 movement.

I’ll give Joe a call, I’m happy to wait. Thanks again.
