Breitling Endurance Pro
Discussion
I have nothing to add apart from I really like the Endurance. I fancy one myself. I love the looks of them.
Not sure I would pay £2650 for one brand new, being quartz, rubber strap, and 'plastic' case etc. (Sorry, I meant 'Breitlight® not plastic...)
I note that used ones, mint and still under warranty, have dropped to about £1600-1700 if you look around, and thats what I would be buying.

All I can say is lots of the Instagram cycling/triathlete red bull lot have them as promo pieces.
They do look very cool, but not sure you're getting great value for money. Especially when you think how 'cheap' the previous Brietlite Skyracer was (and only marginally heavier than a Richard Mille).

I bought one (yellow strap) on a whim after seeing an ad in the FT's HTSI weekend supplement. I think it was probably a bit of lockdown boredom/madness and I must admit I wasn't that impressed. It looks quite striking I suppose, but it feels light and flimsy. I just wasn't wearing it so I sold it 12 months later on one of the watch auction sites for £2150.
Been tempted by them a few times myself, I like the orange strap in particular but I too can't quite justify the cost of them for the reasons listed above, funilly enough I was looking at them on Watchfinder last night amongst other watches but the prices on there seem to be above the RRP!
I think if I could find a used one under 2k I may be tempted to go for it

Yeah, thats my issue, as I posed above. I do like the Endurance, but not at the asking price, not even at the used price to be honest. You can buy a used Tudor Black Bay for less than £2000, and when you look at it like that, the Breitling seems expensive.I think if I could find a used one under 2k I may be tempted to go for it
They do sell plenty of them though, so clearly not everyone thinks like me!

I have to say since I posted above i've dropped onto Chrono 24 and there are some under 2k, particuarly in red and orange from uk sellers so I now find myself very tempted, damn these Pistonheads threads! They do sell plenty of them though, so clearly not everyone thinks like me!
I take your point on the Tudor Black Bay and they are a lovely watch but I already own a Seamaster 300 and the Black Bay is too similar for my collection currently

That's my gut feel on a lot of Brietling products, just properly expensive. They do sell plenty of them though, so clearly not everyone thinks like me!
I really liked the white dial Superocean Heritage with rainbow lume I tried the other week but can't see me ever justifying buying one.

I do like Breitling, and indeed a few years ago I bought a used SuperOcean 44 with steel bracelet for £2K, and it’s one of my favourite watches. Wear it for holidays etc. I really liked the white dial Superocean Heritage with rainbow lume I tried the other week but can't see me ever justifying buying one.
It seemed good value at that, as it is literally built like a steel bank vault, weighs a ton, and 2000m water resistance (which clearly I will never need) and I just really like it.
But some of their other stuff seems a stretch price wise, and the Endurance is probably the worst of the lot for this.
I went into the AD when these first came out and tried on the blue version. Really like it and like most the prices put me off a bit, but bought it anyway (yer a long time deed) as I really liked it. Its one of my daily wearers on a rotation of nato straps and have never go bored of it. Only downside as a daily wear is the lume is poor.
