Step counting watches

By that I mean watches that count steps but are not fitnes bands.

I quite fancy an el cheapo FW-91W but would miss the step counting function of my fitness band. It's a rather poor guideline of how active I've been and a good motivation to get out and get more active each day.

Is there an FW-91W that also counts steps or something cheapish that is more watch than fitness band. I've seen the Withings but they do not help with the buoyancy of my boat.

Extra points for retro digital appeal.

My son has a cheap Casio something that looks a bit like a small g-shock (it’s not a baby g). It looks retro-ish and counts steps. Badly.

You could try a Casio pro-trek model. Some of those are retro-ish.

I think withings have a couple of exercise watches which look more watch-like that sporty.

Thanks for suggestions - very nice but much cheapness needed I'm afraid as I don't have the cash for those.
