Garmin Marq Gen 2 Athlete
Discussion
Morning all, just wondered if anyone else had the Garmin Marq Gen 2 Athlete & what are your thoughts?
I currently have a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar that I purchased last year (Black Friday) & feel it's exceptional, however the Marq appears to have enhanced features, more robust, a more luxury feel & being Touchscreen, has a smaller case which I'd defo prefer, as at 51cm the Fenix is a little uncomfortable on my wrist.
To be clear, i'm certainly not an 'Athlete' however the other variants appear focused for specific activities, such as Golfing, Sailing & Flying, however the Athlete appears to be the closest like for like to my Fenix 6.
Thanks in advance.

Isn't it just an Epix gen 2 built with (admittedly nicer) premium materials?
I think the jet lag advisor feature has now been made available on the Epix and Fenix range via software update so I don't think there is any extra exclusive features.
Nice looking watch though but far to much money for a smart watch, for me anyway.

Thanks & i do agree it's pricey, but 'for me' appears to be the best of both, given the premium nature & exceptional functionality i've found from the Garmin wearables. I'm also drawn to the variety of straps available, from rubber sports band to leather strap & the quality looking stainless steel bracelet, so could be more versatile than my Garmin.I think the jet lag advisor feature has now been made available on the Epix and Fenix range via software update so I don't think there is any extra exclusive features.

The biggest draw however is the smaller form, as just finding this Fenix 6 a little too bulky, so can't find the perfect position on my wrist (not the end of the world however) & the strap does keep catching, so would be nice to not be restricted to a Rubber strap.
The only thing the Marq offers as far as I know is the premium looks and maybe some unique watch faces. Which are copied on the IQ store anyway
The Epix is smaller than your 51mm Fenix. As are most of the Fenix 7s - 42mm and 47mm as well as the 51mm 7x. Both have touch screens and all of the functionality of the Marq. I'd imagine that there will also be a greater range of straps too.
Unless you want a Garmin that looks more like an expensive watch then I don't see any benefit to spending the money

What has surprised me over the last couple of days, is just how many Garmin Watch models their are.
Will keep investigating.
So the Fenix 7s is touchscreen?
