That's the one that looks 'cheap' on ebay, right? 'Sold' before for <£3.5k (from memory) when it was on auction, now up for £4,750?
I can't put my finger on it but I don't like it at all and I am also on the lookout. Have you asked for movement pics?
The bezel insert doesn't look right to me (cheap fix), the spring bar fitment seems very odd, end link fitment (ok, not solid so obviously not great) doesn't look good, is the perspex 'crystal' original (angles look off to me), that clasp looks a bit 'new', there's something about the case shape/lugs/polishing, the hands look a bit chewed and I just don't see why it wouldn't have made more in the auction, if it was ok. But I am not an expert. It's vintage, it's a transition model... it's difficult to know. Could be fine.
It may be standard and reasonable text but when I read "Please study all the photographs carefully, they are part of the description... I will only accept returns if the watch is faulty." - my spidey senses tingle.
I know of a black 79190 for <£5k, with a solid link bracelet, which I am tempted by, even if my heart lays with a blue one (79090/79190) or a blue 9411, preferably. If I was sure I could buy it and then flip it straight out for £7k, I would... but I don't see them shifting at those asking prices.
Perhaps it's fine and we're just seeing rapid deflation (the auction finish, not the new asking) in Tudor prices as Rolex prices drop? Have a feeling there will be better watches (the folded bracelet looks like it has seen better days) for keener prices, this year. There seem to be plenty on the market, for strong money, which aren't moving.
I am not sure I would get a trade bid much over £5k for the well-worn, 90s Sub Date on my wrist, as I type,... an almost direct swap for the cheapest 76100 on the open market? These asking prices simply can't be right.

I’ve not looked at the listing.Bracelet looks to have a lot of stretch.
Case looks fairly fat.
Dial and hands possibly service replacements at some point given the lack of lume ageing. .
As with any vintage, ask about service history, how the timekeeping is and how long the power reserve is.

Tbh that kind of echoes my thoughts, something is just not quite right.
Is that feeling because it appears to be priced "under market" when the market is full of wild speculative asking prices not close to what they actually will sell for?
There seems to be a huge amount of vintage divers/ chronographs that have been for sale for literal years at seemingly very optimistic prices.
Are all the rather average £6-10K Tudor subs just sitting on the market with no buyers?
Saying that its not really under market is it... https://auctions.watchesofknightsbridge.com/past-a...
I have a mint 78-79 5513 that I never wear (other than Christmas Day lol) incase I mark it, so am kind of happy/ would rather pay a bit less for a watch that has been worn already, so I can wear it without feeling guilty if I damage it!
II was at the SAS Watch Auction in November and I think the highest bid on the SS Daytonas was about £13k
IDK not sure it's for me, it just feels a little off!
I can't put my finger on it but, yeah, the wear on a lot of the parts looks quite different e.g. state of the bracelet vs clasp.
To be fair; I have immersed myself in the Japanese (where a lot seem to come from but also Chinese, Vietnam and Taiwan cases, dials, etc) replicas in the slim hope I could spot a fake and I have never seen a 76100 marked fake case in the wild, albeit it's easy enough to engrave a blank, I guess. Would be interested in seeing the other lug side of the case and dating it to see where it falls in dial, and more specifically hand, styles.
The hands look a bit poorly finished when zooming in on ebay. They could be 3rd party replacement because it previously had lollipops and the lume broke. I just look at it and it feels 'off' in some way.
The Knightsbridge watch does show what I am seeing/feeling (also look at Collecting Watches ended listings for T Subs, noting where replacement parts are mentioned) and that's the most interesting of the 76100, with the lollipop.
A '79 (my birth year) 5513 is a bit of a grail watch for me. Always been a 'date' man and love my 16600 SD (prefer no cyclops) but there is something about that era of No Date. The cleanness, simplicity, etc. Also a watch I am wary of as they seem to vary between 10k and 100k on the open market and fakes and bitsas are rife!

Didn't sell at £5250 and is now back on auction. Will be interested to see where it ends! In the meantime, I've picked up two 9411s... overpaid and need bezels but with taxes, postage, etc. ~£4.5k a watch. The same seller sold a blue 79090 for under £4k. It was on a NATO and the case had a hard life but there are bargains out there.

I always thought the Japanese market was pretty “safe” from a fake perspective? Lol I have a “Bell & Ross” bought from a market in Vietnam the quality of case finish is spectacularly bad, even for £15! (Only bought it as I wanted to see how the square case “wore” for more than a few minutes!”
79 is my birth year to! I bought mine before prices went silly, thought I made £20k selling a flat so treat myself to a sub, ended up selling the flat for a £1k loss!

I was lucky enough to find a birth year ( 1974 ) Tudor sub a few years back. I love it and also it's nice to see the prices slowly rising for these understated watches. I had the strap sorted by Michael Young as it wasn't in the best condition. I tend to put it on the steel for more formal and winter wearing and the leather for summer.

Been out in the US all week and finally winding down and catching up on PH, while I wait to go to the airport. The 9411s are in my pocket as I type but I'll get some pics next week. This is the US dealer and always seems to have some of the most realistically priced stock. Worth following on Instagram as well as he'll often post new stock there and ebays some stuff: https://www.lunaroyster.com
If you contact him (Kirill), let him know I sent you
