Just contemplating selling a watch or two, where's the best place to sell these in terms of value, security, experience etc?

Thanks

I sold one to Dom Hackett after recommendations on here. Happy in all respects

Will let you know in a few days. Just agreed a sale to WoS who were a good deal more competitive than any other offer I received.

Another vote for Dom Hackett (Dom H on here) of Hackett Watches fame: https://www.hackettwatches.com/

Sold him a 14060 ND Sub and my 16710 Coke GMTII - nice deals and he'll buy you a pint at the pub if you sit there until he relents!

Dom all day long. Sold all my dad's, a few of mine, and bought a few. Top man.

Another recommendation for Dominic H. But note that if you have something expensive or unusual to sell he will likely want to do it on an SOR basis.

gosh

what were you selling?

I'd have thought they would be extremely uncompetitive but good that they weren't

Something the manager knew they had a buyer for, I guess.

A GMTII. The offer was 1500 to 2000 more than anyone else. I did try 3 other places to get a spread. Of course now they have the watch I'm waiting for the offer reduction. Will update this thread smile

Ceramic Bezel GMT Master 2. Bought in 2011. I did post it in the for sale section. Unfortunately it has gone now and just awaiting BACS payment.

A friend is selling a Rolex GMT 116710LN 2017. It's a bit more but around £10k would buy it. I can put you in touch if it's of any use.

I recently sold a Tudor on Ebay. Using the free authentication process.
Also used 80% off fee offer…
Cost under £60 in fees.
Worked a treat.

Sold it for £2300. £15 to send it to the authenticator via Royal mail (2.5k cover option). More is available.

Authenticated the day they got it, they ship it on to the buyer at their cost.

Buyer mailed to say how pleased he was.

Couldn’t have been better.

It eliminates the scum. If the buyer wasn’t happy/tried it on, it has to go back to the authenticator to ensure it’s the same watch in the exact same condition.

I had a good experience with Big Watch Buyers last year. I sold my watch at a good price there. As far as I know they buy and sell luxury watches in New York but they work online and overseas. By the way, my friend also addressed them and didn't face any issues.
