When do scratches become patina?
Discussion
As with cars, new shoes etc it’s the first one that’s the most painful
I try and tell myself it is now MY watch/shoes/car/leather sofa etc as it has a unique mark but the truth is it’s gutting!
After a few months or years though as the marks increase one stops caring and can just enjoy it

one of my biggest regrets in my time in watches is allowing my 16610 LV green bezel sub to be polished at service. I have a 16600 sea dweller of similar age that has been serviced but not polished and I much prefer seeing the battle scars on my sea dweller. The sub has had a visible amount of metal polished off and it's just not the same watch any more.
