Vintage watches…best way to sell?
Discussion
I have a small collection of vintage watches. So e bought me and some inherited from my late father who collected.
I would say they are mostly post-war 50s to about ‘70s. Quite a mix - Omegas, Zeniths, Schaffausen, Universal etc. and some less commonly seen make.
A change in my circumstances means I’ve been considering selling selling some of them. What would be the safest way for me to go about selling them? I’m reluctant to use Ebay because there are too many unscrupulous types about who may swap movements or claim they are fake when the are not etc. !
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I would separate them into ‘piles’ - known brands which will have a ready audience today, even if they are smaller sized (as many vintage watches are); gold/precious metal watches which should have minimum value based on their metal content and everything else. Then you can try and get some prices together - eBay, or here would be my choice for sales I think.
There’s a chap called Javid @ VintageWatchSpecialist
I brought a watch off him a few years ago, but he does have a pretty mega collection of vintage watches
