So you have to keep one watch, to do it all (daily, going out, dress, holiday) from what you own. You don't have to wear it for activities if you don't want to. But you can only have one.

What would you pick?

For me if I had to keep one, it would my bronze Magrette, but that is because Dion had it engraved with my brother's name and date of him passing on it. But sentimental value aside, it would be my Superocean. Good water resistance, looks nice on a variety of straps and different situations.

Hmmm. I've owned two watches that could do the one-watch-collection job, but regret to say sold them both; Tudor North Flag and Explorer 214270.

Of my current watches, maybe the DJ which I wear most of the time, or perhaps my Santos de Cartier - it's got enough scratches now that I've stopped nannying it. hehe Both are 10ATM and shockproof.

I really liked the North Flag! I considered selling the SO for it, but just never got around to it. It was the one other watch my wife was quite supportive of me buying (the other being a speedy).

Probably my Stowa Flieger Klassik.

Simple, timeless and legible enough for when I get old. hehe

Despite all the watches I currently have - if I could only keep one I really think it would be my hesalite Speedmaster Professional.
It's my go anything go anywhere watch that I have the unworn bracelet for, but is just as comfortable on a smart leather strap, casual suede or NATO.
I love the manual wind nature of it too.

This is probably going to make some people throw up in their mouth at the mention of a quartz TAG but honestly, of all the watches I own (if you remove sentimentality) I do still like the TAG Heuer Formula 1 (CAC1111) that I’ve owned for 16 years (stock image).

However, if I had the 5513 Sub mentioned by EX51GE R above I would be giving a different answer! A relative of mine did the burglary security at one of the London ADs when the 5513 was a current model and got an insane deal on one at the time. I have coveted that watch!

Probably the Sky Dweller - as it does everything.

But a difficult choice from other watches I own... I've always wanted to be a 'one watch' person, but always seem to end up with multiple watches.

Easy peasy my 16800 Submariner. It’s was the only watch I ever wanted and only death will part us. I am leaving it to my grandson.

My Rolex Milgauss

It looks great, isn’t as Rolexy as the other models (like my GMT) and I constantly get people saying how beautiful it looks in Z blue with the green sapphire.

Either that or my speedy pro which is a great all rounder also.

None of my watches have any sentimental value, because my entire collection, including the Sekonda I got for my sixth birthday, my wedding present watch and my grandad's gold pocket watch, were stolen by s in 2017.

But I'm very much enjoying my Omega SM 15,000 Gauss, which seems to cover all needs, except proper diving, which I've never done in my life.

As a Jack of all trades, not too precious that I would be scared to wear it, and fairly versatile - Panerai luminor 42mm gmt

Pam 312. Wearing it now, as it happens. Would pick one of several others if it didn't have to serve all purposes but this is the only one that is dressy enough, has GMT, isn't a Rolex sports but is tough enough for everyday wear.

Yup, same here.
