I am so close to placing an order on a Monta Noble, but the £300 VAT payable is killing me, and is just about enough to make me pause and wait. Maybe look out for a sale within the coming 6 months.

Really nice watches, and on my want list, but don't notice them discounted very often.

I thought £300 seemed high, but on a $1795 watch @ .79 I can see it works out at around £283.

Is there a way round this I wonder, as with EU watches?

I asked them a couple of years back if they were going to get an EU distributor, but obviously that hasn't happened.

Good luck! smile

Never heard of them before. Just looked at their website - they look lovely.

Beautiful design and look like very good workmanship.

I think these look a great option and so much better value than the big brands (Omega etc) who are really milking it these days in terms of value for money.

Thanks Vixen and Piston! Yes they are very good watches, on par or better than OP or Aquaterra. I suppose the movement is the only thing some might nitpick on.

£1,400 sterling is doable - £1,700 just brings it ever so slightly out of range - psychologically. Let's see.

Yes price is alway relative and moveable.

I'll leave the following here to show how much it is really worth - they can drop such a large amount and presumable still make a good profit.

Not suggesting you get this - just an example of how pricing is nonsense in the watch world.
