I used to have one, back in the day. I bought it from a jeweller in Tenerife about 20 years ago. A quartz chrono with white face and blue subdials. It was a nice enough watch but it was unusual in that the bezel seemed to be made of brass with a chrome finish on it, so when it inevitably got scratched, you got these weird gold bits showing. It had raised numerals on the bezel (a bit like a Yachtmaster), which took the brunt of the scuffs and ended up like gold numerals against a silver background. I've never seen anything like that before or since, was very odd.I have 3 Festina watches that I really like

Anyway, I got rid when it stopped working one day and a new battery didn't bring it back to life. I'd bought a much posher watch by that point so it was cosmetically damaged, broken and unused - not really worth keeping.
They do seem popular in Spain in particular, probably because they are based in Madrid.

I would like more expensive watches but I run a transport company and I am very practice on the manual work ,loading ,spanners ectAnyway, I got rid when it stopped working one day and a new battery didn't bring it back to life. I get damaged and anything attatched to me gets damaged!
I do have an old sea master that had a recent service for when I wear posh shoes!
Ground down by the watch threads on here and fancying a treat for Fathers Day I dropped a lot of hints about getting one of these this year: https://festina.com/en-GB/watch/man/festina/festin...
Not particularly into watches, but I liked the look of it. I am a cycling fan and so it makes me smile a bit wearing it and knowing the Festina backstory.
I have zero watch knowledge so no idea whether it’s a good watch for the money or not.

As I mentioned, probably not the best VFM but they are not that much money anyway. IME they are a step up from the Fossil/Armani watches, but you notice where they cut costs. I'd say they spent a lot on advertising, so you know where your money goes. If you like the look, they will last you a decade though being a solid japanese quartz. Not particularly into watches, but I liked the look of it. The watch you posted is a fairly chunky one though, at 45mm case diameter it's considered to be really big. Make sure your father has chunky wrists or he likes that look. I've got a 7.5" wrist and a 45mm is on the edge of being huge for me.

I have one.
I had a seamaster I sold last year as didn’t wear it and wanted a bigger dial than my omega.
Not fussed on watches but wanted something nice to wear out. Bought a Festina, looks the part and on offer it was £100.
Bargain.
