Seiko 7548-700B Battery problem
Discussion
I've had the watch for 35+ years and while battered and worn is loved much travelled and used and i still wear it occasionally, I've stopped wearing my more expensive watches watches day to day over the past ten years or so but go back to this.
Anyway the problem. The watch was running fine until about three months ago so as usual take the back off undo the retaining clip and swap the battery. The new battery in, watch back up and running, strap down and back put back on. About two weeks later it stopped again, all apart again and battery out, checked and was down to 1.32v.
I put another new battery in just to be sure and nothing, battery is 1.52v tested, am i missing something?
Is there anything i can do or is this a watch doctor/jeweller job.
Any help would be appreciated as i love the old thing.
