Looking for some help here! I have a 1991 Mido Ocean Star Commander, which is a lovely watch but the hour and minute hands are slightly misaligned, which drives me potty! The watch runs beautifully aside from that.

I believe these are difficult/different to work on as the crystal has to be removed for any such job as the mechanism is loaded via the face of the watch.

Does anyone know of a Mido specialist or a watch repairer who would be competent on one of these?

Thanks in advance

I don’t know this particular watch but removing the crystal should be a trivial job for anyone with the most basic repair equipment!

Thanks, I'd read somewhere that the crystal on these was difficult to remove without the right tool. I've got in touch with a Mido service centre (although I fear they only deal with the modern range) so let's see what happens.

I’d search for a local watch maker and then google for reviews. It should be a simple enough job. Maybe consider a movement service if it’s going to be opened up anyway.
