Finally, always wanted a Tag and with my 50th birthday just passed I thought I’d treat myself and add this to my modest collection (mainly Seiko, Citizen and g-shock).

It was slightly over my budget, but as I am sure you will have spotted it’s an automatic which is a bonus.

Safe to say, I’m very pleased with it.

I was the same, had wanted an F1 for many years and so treated myself for my 40th birthday. Thankfully i got a decent deal on it as they dont keep their value but i'll never sell it.

Some people say i could get a much better watch from a different brand for less but growing up i didnt want a Zelos, Tissot, Christopher Ward, Seiko etc.

I wanted a Tag and so i got a tag!

Congratulations, that’s a cracker.
I always think TAG Heuer sit, together with Omega, below only Rolex in the brand recognition stakes. I really like them.

I hope you enjoy your TAG for many years to come.

Looks great. Congratulations on getting your dream watch.
My wife bought me a Tag Heuer for my 40th. A 41mm automatic Aquaracer. I now also have a few more watches from more expensive brands and my Tag Heuer is still my go to watch on a daily basis. It takes a beating, I wear it on the beach, swimming, doing DIY and it still runs perfectly (the strap is showing a fair amount of wear though).

Congratulations! Looks great. TAG was always No.1 on my hitlist after my older cousin got one years before me... always lusted after it. I think the brand is definitely bigger in the UK compared to US where it barely seems to get a mention.

I bought my first one for my 30th and now on the hunt for something for my 40th this year (probably another TAG but would love to move up to Breitling at some point)

They're doing some nice things with the Aquaracer now, enjoy your new watch.

This is mine. Bought for me for 50th by the wife, but totally my choice, could have gone far more expensive but this was what I wanted. Worn almost every day for seven years now, fresh as a daisy and still my choice of Tags and wouldn't change it. Total comfort. Not flash but reliable.

You sir have excellent taste (even if I do say so myself!). I’ve had mine for four years now and I’m still very pleased with it. Goes with nearly any outfit and makes me smile when I wear it.

Edit- excuse the rogue foot in the photo 🤣

Happy Birthday! I’ve had this one around 15 years… serviced once. It was with me through many important events in my life, including the births of my kids. It’s semi-retired now and only comes out on special occasions but I still love to wear it

Looks excellent! Great purchase.

It's one of the watches on my list, I'm new to all this but the F1 I've seen is about the limit of what I'm willing to spend right now.

The black looks great.

Everyone should have a TAG at some point in their life!

This is mine, bought in 1994, and just serviced ahead of giving it to my son as a graduation present. I'd actually forgotten how nice it is.

Love Tag.. my first 'proper' watch was an Aquaracer after a big promotion at work. I'm sure very modest to most but at the time I really thought I'd made it!

I've since gone on to get another Tag, Tudor, Omega and recently my first Rolex.

So Tag's are gateway drugs for sure!

Enjoy it! Well deserved for your 50 years of service on this planet hehe

Thanks everyone, and also for the Birthday wishes, it softened the blow of the big 50 ... LOL

I have to say, I'm always a bit amazed Tag don't pop up in this forum as often as you might expect, great to see some of the pics of your watches.

I fear this may lead to to another purchase, as I've also always loved Omega, though the prices are more than I could justify, but that has never stopped me, unfortunately. There were some lovely Tudors as well that I was looking at, whilst I was mustering up the courage to actually go into the shop.
