Hi all,

Looking to buy a new watch for my 40th later this year. I've been extensively researching online, and will be popping to the local Goldsmith's in a couple of week to get a feel of a few favourites in the metal.

I'm not really in the know about watch shows, but I've heard about W&W - Is it the case that most manufactures will release new watches after this show, or maybe other shows? Just wondering if there'll be anything new to consider before the summer comes around. I'm looking mainly at Oris/Tag/Tudor.

Thanks smile

Oris do their own show, Tag and Tudor will have new releases to show at W&W.

Companies release new stuff all year round in any case though.

Probably best to keep an eye on a few of the online watch sites (Hodinkee, Time & Tide, Monochrome etc). They'll always report on new releases.

Lots of new models released at W&W but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll hit the highstreet straight away.

Okay, thanks. Not planning to buy until August or just before, so there should be time after the show for new releases to turn up one would hope!

Interesting about Oris, as I'm sure I read that Kermit was revealed at W&W last year? Maybe they do a bit of both.

Yes you're right.

Oris seem to turn up to absolutely everything.

What are you top choices at the moment?

Not sure if they're going to commercially make them but I like the look of the Seiko Pandagraph and Ambidextrous!

Not so keen on the "SunnyMen" though...
