First 'proper' watch ~4k, help!

I'm looking to get my first 'proper' watch. I have a budget of around 4k and generally lean towards divers watches. I prefer dark faces & bezels and must have a date window. I'd love a Sea Master 300m but several mates have just bought them so looking for something a bit different. The Tudor Pelagos and BB S&G look good but wondering if there was anything else out there worth looking at? Not averse to buying 2nd hand as it seems a good way to save a good chunk of cash. Thanks

There are a few Blancpain Bathyscaphes on C24 just over budget. They’re beautiful watches with amazing finishing and plenty of pedigree. I’m not sure how duties get dealt with, you might find a seller who can be flexible with their approach. Or, if you happen to be travelling to any of the countries where they’re listed, you could save some money that way.

I have an Oris Aquis, which is lovely, and worth half your budget.

I also have a Tudor Pelagos, which is also lovely, is pretty-much at your budget and is, by far, the worst timekeeper I have out of 20+ watches.

Put aside your reservations on Seamaster and look at a used 2254, gorgeous watch, and fits your parameters perfectly. your mates won't have one of those

Or, not dark face/ bezel but Tudor Pelagos in blue? Mine's accurate to around 2 seconds a day.
I've always fancied the LHD with the roulette date wheel, but the fake aging on the lume puts me off a little.

I love my LHD. Roulette dial is ace and I like the fake aged lune.

Also keeps great time... Far better than my super ocean 2.

they're such an understated, watch. there's not a single rolex i'd have over a LHD. are they the only numbered tudor?

There's a few numbered ones now, most tend to be very small runs for companies.
