Getting a watch engraved

Can getting a watch engraved damage the movement at all? Like from the vibration?

Is it best to remove the movement and do the case separately?

Case back or literal case? Some places will use laser, these days, avoiding vibration issues.

I tend to err on the side it will be absolutely fine, either way, but if you're worried, usually pretty easy to pop a movement out with the dial and hands all intact.
