Hi all

I have a vintage White Face Seiko Sports 100

Hitch belonged to my late father who bought the watch in the mid to late 80’s I believe.

So going through his watch small collection I came across it.

So I had a new battery fitted as it did not have one in. The analogue operation surprisingly immediately worked fine and keep good time! However the digital side seems to default to an alarm mode and constantly clicks. You can set the date etc but it will not save the settings.

Is there a way to hard reset them I wonder? I would like to bring it back into use and wear it again

I have hopefully attached a picture of the watch for info.

Any pearls of wisdom or advice would be appreciated

Thanks

I had a watch with that movement.

I sold it because once they fail there isn’t really anything you can do about it that I could find.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply..

Rather thought that might be the case, pity you can’t just turn off the Digital side as that would make it wearable…

I found a thread suggesting the Seiko H461 movement is the same as the following:

Breitling B232
Miyota Y562
Morioka Y653

I don't know if these instructions are of any use, but is sounds like the movement might have an issue if it's stuck in alarm mode.
