Looks like a kid's watch. 10 year old me would have loved it.

I've tried them on a few times but there's no denying it, they feel like £500 would be a stretch.

It's obviously not what TAG are going for but I can't help feeling that if they'd have priced them like the MoonSwatch/Blancpain they'd have had trouble manufacturing them fast enough!

Sell the plastic/rubber ones for £300 or so and put out the steel versions as properly limped editions for more.

I dont get the bottom end TAG stuff, just looks cheap, PRO5T is bang on, make it a tie in like the Swatch thing, a bit of TAG * something else at a lower price points, the punters get their bit of TAG for £300 and enough distance between them and the real ones as it doesnt look like one, this is £1500 and looks like a cheap watch, can get a steel F1 for less, I paid £770 for mine brand new in 2017, same thing is now nearly twice that !

Earlier in the year I was in Annecy on holiday, went into Geneva for the day and see a few of these in the window, went in and ended up coming out with this one for my teenage son.

Its got my son interested in watches to the extent that earlier this week I spoke to Dom H and hes managed to source one of these (again discounted). Thanks Dom.

I don't get the dislike for Tag Heuer, these pieces are quite fun and a little different IMO.

I don't personally dislike Tag at all, and i'm old enough to remember when these watches were out the first time around in the 90's. I personally just think these are over priced for what they are, especially the plastic models

I really like TAG but feel like these are a strange line to release in plastic...for the price. And some retro things should stay in the past, like tiny plastic TAG F1s.

I’ve never handled one or a MoonSwatch but they seem like they’re somehow no better than one another, except the massive price difference.

I really like these, and I owned one of the 1990's originals back in about 2000-2005.

I like them so much I went to the Tag Boutique to have a look at them recently, and to try one on. After having a look and trying one I won't be buying one unfortunately, as they have two problems IMO:

They are too small. Only 38mm and they also wear really small for their size. I've read some people say they wear more like 36 mm. It's a shame they hadn't scaled up this new production to 40-41mm.

Honestly, too expensive. Should be £1000 maximum.

If they were a better size and a more palatable price I would absolutely have one.

I’ve been hankering after a white dial watch for a bit so tried one on. I really wanted to like it prior to getting hands on, I’d even got my head around the price but straight away I knew it was a no. They feel extremely cheap, the bracelet was light & flimsy. The movement is lifted from a £200 Citizen so it’s very very difficult to see where the additional £1400 has gone. As I said, it’s a shame because had I liked it I wouldn’t have bothered looking at the other options & bought it there & then.

I have the all-red version. I don’t wear it often, but whenever I do, it always makes me feel good. I think it’s a mix of nostalgia and the fact that it’s just a really good-looking watch (IMO) It’s also a nice change from the more traditional watches I wear day to day.

I've owned several TAG Heuer watches in the past, including a Formula 1 Grande Date with Gulf dial. However, the Grande Date had a steel case and steel bracelet. For me, the combination of plastic case, plastic strap, simple design and quartz movement does not warrant the £1,500 price. I think £1K would be too steep for me. As someone else said, £500-800 would be more reasonable.

Obviously, not everyone wants to go down the second hand route, but I'd rather one of these. The first one has boxes and papers for £1,200. The second option does not include box or papers, but is little over £900. This would be my choice for a TAG at £1Kish.

I've still got my F1 from 1993, paid £180 for it then, specified with a steel bracelet and a red rubber strap.
Since these have been rereleased I've blown the dust off it and worn it quite a bit, it is very small compared to a lot of current watches, and that's not a bad thing.
£1500 is way too expensive though, £180 in 93 put through an inflation calculator comes out at £280 which sounds right to me, at a £300 price point I'd have one in a wacky colour to sit alongside my colourful Moonswatch, but not at that price. frown

Excellent service as always by DomH, and this arrived today.

A nice fun piece that brings out the nostalgic side of me. I have 3 of the originals and this does feel different, it’s also not comparable to a moon swatch IMO.

The originals were my first introduction into watches that I can remember and now it seems surreal that it’s my sons too.
