Interesting! How did that come about?

After the tour I found an MB-II configurator on their website, they have since removed it and no longer offer it.

The digital images were OK but very flat so I popped back to The Wing and had a chat with the guy that did my tour awesome chap, he disappeared into a backroom and came out with a pelican case containing all the constituent parts so I could swop and chop beyond what the online configurator allowed for.

The final component selection required sign off due to mixing case material with caseback finish, was also one of the very last MB-ii's built with the old dial not containg the compass like motif.

Was a great experience and I'd 100% buy another.

Thank you for that, a very interesting read. That’s really fantastic. I love service like that. I much prefer the dials before they changed to the compass logo too.

I was going to start a new thread but saw this.

I have been invited to an event in the New Year which includes a tour of the Wing.

Bremont were not really on my radar but have spent several hours today checking out their website and doing a bit of research instead of my work. Have to have your priorities sorted!

They seem quite expensive for what they are. I am after a diver and the Supermarines are about 3x the cost of a Christopher Ward Trident.

Pilot watches aren’t really my thing but I do like the MB11: they are even more expensive though.

What’s the PH view on the brand?

I attended a cars and coffee event at The Wing a couple of years ago. Its a really nice facility and the workshop is quite something to behold. I was very very close to punting for the H1 Audley, as it looked fantastic. Then they went and changed all the designs and decided to go down the "Rolex alternative" route and that was the opposite of what I wanted. I loved the elegance of the Dress Watch range, bit clearly my tastes aren't profitable enough. With that I ultimately went for Frédéric Constant, which to these eyes at least, has the timeless feel of a Breguet, but the price tag of a Bremont. Shame really as I really did like the company and what they were doing, but Nick and Giles departed, and the new face took them in a different direction.

I'm a fan, also have a couple of CW's and like what they are but they don't really compare to the Bremont stuff, I would say go along, you'll ever decide for or against after.

I have this one.

Teal face, bronze bezel. It's my work watch. Something just a bit different in amongst all the Rolexes, Tags and Breitlings I see daily.

The same site now has a Tudor Black Bay Harrods Edition - much nicer than the Bremont I think.

Oh dear no. The whole black and gold theme looks gaudy and cheap. A plain Black Bay is much nicer.

Visited the factory last year with the intention of making a purchase. Unfortunately, nothing I saw made me go, ‘yes please!’ The factory and everything we saw was really impressive, but just didn’t take to anything they offered.
